Notice to Membership - Infrastructure Services Coordinator

September 6, 2018

Hilda Esedebe, the Municipal Engineers Association’s first Infrastructure Services Coordinator, has resigned to take a position with the City of Vaughan as their Transportation Project Manager in the Transportation Planning Department. Her last day with the MEA will be Friday, September 14, 2018.

The MEA Executive Board approved moving forward to recruit the Infrastructure Services Coordinator as part of its strategic plan.  Hilda started her role, which is a shared position with the Ontario Good Roads Association, on August 8, 2016 after an extensive joint MEA/OGRA recruitment process.

Over the last 2 years, Hilda has spent much of her time with the MEA promoting Ontario Provincial Standards and assisting with efforts regarding Municipal Class Environmental Assessment reform. She also assisted in the day-to-day management of the MEA’s interests including website updates and modernization, news e-blasts and general outreach programs.  Most recently, she has been working on a joint MEA/OGRA initiative “Women in Municipal Engineering/Infrastructure and Public Works”.

Hilda was a great addition to the MEA.  Please join the MEA Executive Board in thanking Hilda for her service and wishing her well in her future endeavours.
