Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure Engineering, is responsible for the planning and implementation of capital projects as part of the 10-year Capital program, including project management services for, condition assessments, technical studies, technical and process support and review of design and construction of wastewater treatment facilities, sewage pumping stations and odour control facilities.

Reporting to the Manager of Stormwater, the Senior Project Engineer/Technologist will be responsible for managing the design and construction phases of the West Thornhill flood remediation program and other capital projects. The incumbent will also be responsible for the review of studies dealing with rehabilitation of underground infrastructure, natural watercourses, and Class Environmental Assessment related to stormwater management, water resources and other environmental issues.

To manage operations of Norfolk County’s waste management system including collection, transfer, processing, and ensuring the effective use of human, financial and material resources.

Reporting to the Associate Director, the Manager, Transportation Planning & Sustainability (JO# 20070) will assume professional engineering responsibilities for studies, reviews, preliminary design, quality control, scheduling, reporting and cost estimates of various transportation projects including, development traffic impact and transportation planning studies environmental assessment projects and multi-modal transportation initiatives field traffic safety and control issues investigation. Reporting to the Manager, Transportation Planning and Sustainability, the Transportation Planner’s (JO# 20071) main focus is to set-up, operate, maintain and manage the multi-modal Regional Transportation Model(s), provide specialized analysis, assist in transportation planning and traffic engineering assignments, including active transportation assignments. The Planner’s position will also support internal and external studies related to corridor reviews and traffic impact assessments, and coordinate the Region’s annual traffic data collection program.
