We are looking for two experienced Senior Civil Engineering Technologists II to join the Community Development Department, Engineering and Transportation Services Division. The primary focus of this role is to Project Manage municipal infrastructure (re)-construction projects, prepare designs for municipal infrastructure (re-)construction projects, along with working knowledge of Engineering Software Applications (i.e. Civil 3D), as well as storm water management modeling software, such as Visual OTTHYMO, HEC-RAS, MIDUSS, PCSWMM. Additionally, you will perform contract administrator duties and/or field Inspection services for municipal infrastructure construction projects as needed, coordinate engineering projects with various levels of government, agencies, utility companies, railways, consultants, contractors and others. Your professional advice will be called upon as you receive, investigate and respond to general engineering complaints from the public, manage projects for municipal infrastructure projects requiring Municipal Class Environmental Assessments (EAs), represent the Division, Department and/or Corporation on Regional Environmental Assessments (EAs); Master Plans (MPs); Studies; detailed design and construction. Act as back-up to Project Engineer, and Manager of Design and Approvals, as required.

Develops, implements, and promotes water efficiency programs in the City of London to ensure efficient water system operation and maintenance.

Reporting to the Manager of Operations, you will:
- Provide expertise on contract matters and ensure consistent management of contracts;
- Provide advice and support on a range of managerial, technical, and contractual matters related to construction and maintenance contracts;
- Handle complex issues related to contract administration, interpretation, performance and disputes;
- Undertake special assignments or studies involving such issues as service delivery methods and related staffing and organization;
- Review contract standards; and
- Implement new technologies related to construction and maintenance.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Development, this role is responsible for the review, analysis and approval of the municipal servicing and grading aspects of primarily Site Plans in addition to Draft Plan of Subdivision and Condominium applications for compliance with provincial standards and specifications, Town standards and sound engineering practices.

Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, this position is responsible and accountable for the management of the Design and Construction Section and will provide leadership to a group of engineering professionals and seasonal staff. The successful candidate will oversee the functions of the design, survey and construction areas, ensuring that issues from the public, elected officials and administration are acted on in a timely manner. The position will also provide strategic advice related to the above noted service areas and represent the Department at public meetings, negotiations and resident group meetings.
