Looking to complete your PEAK Hours?

Part of the Professional Engineers of Ontario's PEAK (Practice Evaluation and Knowledge) program includes a new (albeit, a non-mandatory) policy promoting continuous education and other related technical activities undertaken by engineers. By doing so, PEO is now positively following in the footsteps of nearly all other professional designations – a move that will likely help further strengthen the quality of Ontario’s already top-notch, practicing engineers.

As part of the PEAK program, engineers renewing their annual memberships after June 2017 are being requested by PEO to complete a certain number of hours of continuous education courses and/or a combination of various technical activities.

For those engineers looking to fulfill the hour requirements, MEA has rewarding volunteer opportunities which include serving on technical committees. The MEA Annual Workshop also offers technical sessions that promote the continuous education of engineers.
