The London Organizing Committee has coordinated 3 tours on Thursday afternoon (transportation provided):

1. Coldstream Concrete Plant Tour:  Visit the Coldstream Concrete Plant located just outside of London and see how precast concrete is designed, manufactured, and shipped to your site!

2.  Springbank Water Reservoir Tour:  The City of London is currently rebuilding one of the three reservoirs on “Reservoir Hill”, replacing a        reservoir with a floating cover that had reached end of life cycle. The new reservoir will increase the storage capacity to 88 million litres, for a total of approximately 250 million litres available between the three reservoirs. Come learn how the two reservoirs were rehabilitated and tour the third reservoir under construction.

3.  The Factory London (100 Kellogg) Tour: Come explore how the former site of the former Kellogg’s factory has been transformed.  Learn about the history of the property and the planning and engineering that has made this revitalization possible. When The Factory opened, it became Canada’s largest indoor adventure park. It also houses Powerhouse Brewery in the former factory’s steam turbine plant, Paradigm Spirits distillery, the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame, the London Children’s Museum, and the first Hard Rock Hotel to open in London, as well as vendors and event spaces. Further site development proposals were recently unveiled to include additional entertainment space as well as residential use on surrounding lands.
