Responsible for preparation of the Transportation Master Plan Update and other related projects and policies; review of transportation impacts of official plans amendments and secondary plans; maintaining the City’s Travel Demand Forecasting Model; providing project management services for environmental assessments; conducting and managing major transportation studies, engineering feasibility studies and traffic operational analysis including identification, evaluation and assessment of proposed transportation infrastructure improvements to support the expansion and improvements of City’s road systems related to growth; preparing transportation input into Development Charge By-law updates. Leads and directs the activities of project teams, which may include internal staff and external resources.

Responsible for the proper inspection, operation and performance of the Stormwater Systems network. Work independently on the administration and implementation of: the Stormwater Quality Master Plan Program, the Environmental Compliance Approval conditions, the City’s stormwater utility funding mechanism, the general review and health of the Stormwater System through inspection and rehabilitation programs. Develop and implement various Stormwater system infrastructure policies, procedures and programs. Responsible for the integrity, and risk mitigation activities for linear and facility infrastructure and conduct rehabilitation and replacement planning for the storm system infrastructure. Develop and maintain the City stormwater models for purposes related to growth, development, existing capacity, and potential arising issues including storm event analysis. Prepare work plans and ensure they are executed for the above tasks through direct involvement as well as direct report students and consultants. Develop, review, update and enforce stormwater bylaws as required. Lead the Stormwater Quality Master Plan Program and ensure its success through community communication and education.

As a Senior Project Manager, Water/Wastewater Planning, you’ll report to the Manager of Water and Wastewater Systems, and provide leadership to staff within a Business Unit. Using a best practices approach, you’ll facilitate a team environment focused on providing expertise in the operation and optimization of existing systems support, long-range planning/system design and engineering necessary for the City’s wastewater linear systems, plants and outstations (Sanitary and Combined sewer systems).
