Reporting to the Program Manager, Infrastructure Approvals, the Project Manager, Infrastructure Approvals
is responsible for ensuring efficient and timely processing of engineering review and approvals on a variety of
development applications such as subdivision and condominium plans, Zoning By-law amendments, Official
Plan amendments and site plans. Reviews and approves engineering designs for water, road and sewer
proposals, storm water management. Manages peer review and master studies and assists the program
manager in identifying future needs. Reviews and approves lot grading and drainage plans, slope stability
studies, hydrogeology and soil studies, noise and traffic impact studies, environmental assessments and
other related engineering designs prepared by external consultants for development-related proposals. Acts
for the Senior Infrastructure Approvals Engineer in his/her absence, and provides functional supervision on
an on-going basis. -

Relevant du gestionnaire de programme, Approbation des demandes d'infrastructure, le gestionnaire de
projet, Approbation des demandes d'infrastructure, doit veiller au déroulement efficace et au moment voulu
de l'inspection technique et de l'octroi des autorisations en réponse à diverses demandes d'aménagement
comme les plans de lotissement, les plans de copropriété, les modifications des règlements de zonage et du
Plan officiel et les plans d'implantation. Il examine et approuve les concepts techniques dans le cadre des
propositions liées aux installations d'adduction d'eau et d'égouts, aux routes et à la gestion des eaux
pluviales. Il gère les examens par des pairs et les grandes études et aide le gestionnaire de programme à
définir les besoins futurs. Il examine puis approuve les plans de nivellement et de drainage de terrain, les
études de stabilité des pentes, les études hydrogéologiques et du sol, les études d'impact du bruit et de la
circulation, les évaluations environnementales ainsi que les autres concepts techniques connexes préparés
par les experts-conseils externes dans le cadre de propositions liées à l'aménagement. Il remplace
l'ingénieur principal, Approbation des demandes d'infrastructure, en son absence, et assure de la
surveillance fonctionnelle de façon continue. -

As a Senior Project Manager in Water and Wastewater Planning, you will provide leadership to staff within a Business Unit, facilitating a team environment focused on providing operation and optimization of existing systems support, long-range planning and engineering expertise for the City's water and wastewater systems, plants and outstations. It will be your responsibility to ensure that infrastructure systems design activities are delivered in a cost-effective, efficient and timely manner by applying Project Management methodologies in a Quality Management System (QMS) environment.
In this role, you will be part of the City's Light Rail Transit (LRT) Water/Wastewater Infrastructure project, with a particular focus on reviewing and approving water and wastewater infrastructure conceptual designs, and capacities within the LRT corridor and within the adjacent connected networks of upstream and downstream pipes and sewers. You will also provide support for other sectional initiatives related to Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Planning.

Reporting to the designated Manager within Development & Compliance Services, the Manager I, Building Engineer, reviews mechanical and structural drawings, plans, specifications and design data for all buildings and structures to ensure compliance with the Ontario Building Code Act, 1992, the Ontario Building Code, related Municipal by-laws, other applicable by-laws, and conducts structural and mechanical inspections on site. The Manager I, Building Engineer assists the Manager II responsible for structural building engineering or mechanical building engineering as required.

Responsible for supporting water service objectives through managing various projects, including but not limited to, leak detection, non- revenue water analysis, backflow prevention policy development, meter replacement programs, operations program planning and other related projects. Participates and contributes to water infrastructure planning projects, while ensuring such projects are aligned and inclusive with capital works. Oversees technical review of development applications. Conducts research and benefit /cost analysis to determine best practices; identifies long-range strategies for responsible and sustainable water services; develops and manages policies, contracts, tenders, bylaws and other documents related to same. Provides technical support to staff.
