Westport Village is looking for a progressive, innovative and results-oriented individual to fill our Municipal Engineer/Manager of Infrastructure position. Reporting to the Clerk, the Municipal Engineer's primary role is to manage infrastructure, including water and waste water systems, capital and maintenance projects from inception to completion. In addition to five years of applicable municipal or related experience, the successful candidate will have post-secondary education in Civil or Mechanical Engineering combined with a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles related to municipal infrastructure, construction activities, contract management, contract law, and relevant Federal and Provincial Standards, Acts and Regulations. Registration as a Professional Engineer by the Professional Engineers of Ontario is required. The incumbent will be a project manager with superior interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills to effectively prioritize, schedule and deliver work projects to meet deadline. The successful candidate will have the ability to read, understand and evaluate engineering drawings and proposals, as well as the ability write procurement and engineering design documents and specifications. Strong computer skills, along with a class "G" driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. A Criminal Record Check is also required. The Village offers a competitive benefit package and salary commensurate with qualifications and abilities. Salary Range is $70,000 -80,000. (2016)

As an Engineer within the Major Infrastructure Section, Don River & Central Waterfront Project Unit, you will provide project management, stakeholder management, contract administration, technical and engineering expertise for the planning, design and construction of a major multidisciplinary project. More specifically, this will involve a large-diameter, tunneling project to convey combined sewer overflow (CSO) and sanitary flows to the Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant as well as the design and construction of the new Integrated Pumping Station at the Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant.

The City of Welland is seeking a full time Engineering Design Supervisor. Under the direction of the Manager of Engineering Services, the Engineering Design Supervisor will be responsible for managing aspects of design, utility coordination, approvals, tendering and administration for public works infrastructure capital projects within the Infrastructure Services Department, Engineering Division. Such projects include roads, bridges/culverts, water mains, sewers and sidewalks as well as other department initiatives in areas such as facilities and parks.

Reporting to the General Manager, Facilities Management & Construction, the Manager, Complex Capital Projects will be responsible for leading major facility and building construction projects from preliminary design through to completion of construction. Working collaboratively with staff, contractors and other leaders across the organization, this position will ensure that complex capital facility construction projects are scheduled, resourced and completed on time, within budget and per specifications. Guided by the goals and objectives of the City of Guelph Corporate Strategic Plan, the successful candidate will aid in the achievement of the Community Vision – to be the city that makes a difference.

The position works out of the OGRA office and reports directly to the OGRA Manager of Member Services with indirect reporting to the Executive Director of MEA. You are a team player who enjoys working with a dynamic and committed staff. You are self motivated, highly creative and have excellent computer skills in a Windows, database environment and possess excellent technical writing skills. Work time is shared 50% OGRA and 50% MEA.
