Reporting to the Director, Design & Construction, Linear Underground Infrastructure, you will lead and manage 13 full-time staff in addition to a co-located Program Management Consultant team involved in the planning, design and construction of the City’s sewers, trunk sewers, and stormwater management infrastructure in support of the City's Basement Flooding Protection Program. This program is expected to deliver up to $180 million in capital construction per year over the next 10 years. More information on this program is available on the City of Toronto website.

Lead the update of our master plans in this full-time, temporary (up to 18 months) role for a water and wastewater professional with Hamilton Water in Hamilton, ON.
Operating in a Quality Management System (QMS) environment, as a Senior Project Manager, you will provide leadership to a diverse project team focused on updating the citywide water, wastewater and storm water Master Plans. Applying Project Management Institute (PMI) or similar methodologies, you'll rely on your drinking water, storm water, watershed, sanitary and combined systems expertise to ensure that infrastructure systems design activities are delivered in a cost effective, efficient and timely manner.

Responsible for oversight and direction of special studies and projects within Public Works; assisting the Deputy City Manager and Public Works Management in coordinating and overseeing cross-departmental project teams; identifying policy gaps and assessing operational and customer service improvement opportunities in the Public Works business areas; developing and maintaining project schedules and coordinating the work of internal staff and external consultants. Manages and undertakes specialized studies and retains external consultants to perform research and provide recommendations on policy, program, and organizational issues. Formulates reports, implementation strategies, and initiatives, and presents study results for buy-ins and approvals and maintains confidentiality of same.

Reporting to the General Manager, Infrastructure and Development Services, the Manager, Public Works is Responsible for the overall supervision, organization, coordination, control and execution of all functions pertaining to the Public Works Department, including all activities of the Roads Division and Waste Management Division. This position ensures that the County Road Network is constructed and maintained in a manner that maximizes the County’s initial and long term investment and in accordance with all regulatory standards, specifications, county policies, and relevant transportation guidelines and best practices. In addition, it manages the disposal of municipal solid waste generated from the local municipalities through County owned and privately owned landfills. Manage the County’s six waste disposal and related facilities in accordance with their issued Certificates of Approval.
