This 24-month term position, offering the possibility of an extension to permanent employment, is an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of the Union Station Revitalization project execution and delivery (construction and design). This will include project construction plans, construction vendor and consultant management, vendor negotiation and contracts, resource allocations, scheduling, project and financial reporting, project design plans, state of good repair, renovations and new redevelopment construction within all building disciplines, which will vary in cost, urgency, complexity and delivery methods. As Construction Manager, you will be expected to maintain the scope, budget and timelines of the Union Station Revitalization project within the execution phase, while maintaining a project safety culture and best practices.

Reporting to the Manager of Capital Projects, this position is responsible for budgeting, planning and implementing capital projects as part of the 10-year capital program. Provide project management services for master plan, needs study, environmental assessment, detailed design and construction of bridges, roads, storm sewers, watermains, sanitary sewers, pumping stations and treatment facilities. The candidate will conduct technical review of development applications on behalf of the capital division including water analysis. This individual will provide direction and technical support to engineering technologist and other staff and act as the project lead for complex capital projects.

Reporting to the Manager, Development Engineering, this position is responsible for implementing the Co-ordination and managing the approval process of new residential, industrial subdivisions and site plans by reviewing and approving engineering consultant designs and plans, including roads, storm sewers, storm water management facilities, drainage and grading. Liaises with internal and external stakeholders and ensures that Municipal and Provincial standards are adhered to and public and private interests are protected.
