Purpose: Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Construction Services, this position directs and manages project management staff responsible for delivering Engineering and Construction services for the implementation of water distribution, storage and pumping works, wastewater collection works and transportation system improvements to ensure a state of good repair is maintained and to accommodate the growing needs of Halton Region and its residents. Preferred Background: The successful candidate requires a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive management experience in the delivery of major capital works programs. Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (P. Eng) and hold a valid membership with the Professional Engineers of Ontario to act as certifying engineer of record. Experience in a municipal environment with an understanding of the regulations related to design and construction of Water, Wastewater, and Transportation infrastructure. Experience in delivering large capital projects, the environmental assessment process, and the financing of capital infrastructure is critical. Demonstrated experience in program management and providing collaborative leadership to teams in an environment that promotes best practices and continuous improvement. Excellent judgment, political acumen, negotiation, decision making and superior customer facilitation skills are essential for interactions with members of the public, senior management, council and external agencies. Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, problem solving, exceptional communication skills and budget management are required. Working Conditions: Travel within Halton is required. Incumbent must supply their own transportation. Duties: • Ensures that all projects are delivered within expected timelines and in accordance with all applicable regulations, legislation and Regional policy and by-laws (i.e. MOECP, MOL, MTO and Conservation Authorities). • Responds to political and public enquires related to managed program. • Collaborates with operating and maintenance divisions and other departments (purchasing, budgets, legal and realty) to ensure effective project delivery. • Reviews and oversees the tendering and awarding of Capital Projects and provides status reports. • Coordinates infrastructure design & construction with local municipal road programs. • Ensures that consultants and contractors are effectively managed to make certain deliverables are achieved. • Ensures that all project information is accurate and maintained incompliance with reporting requirements. • Develops, reviews and updates engineering standards, procedures and practices pertaining to the delivery of capital infrastructure projects. • Oversee and mentor engineers in training and junior engineers to foster career development. • Provides coaching, development opportunities and team leadership to a diverse group of staff including professional engineers, and technical staff. • Participate in and support departmental and corporate initiatives as a member of the extended management team. Reporting to the Manager, Environmental Engineering, this job is responsible for providing technical and project management support to development applications and special projects; analyzing and reviewing hydrology, hydraulic and flood analysis reports and computer models in support of Secondary and Block plans, draft Subdivision plans as well as capital projects and oversee the development review process for proposed developments.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Operations Planning, manages the contracted roads maintenance program:
- Project Management of the City’s infrastructure maintenance contracts.
- Hire and administrate consulting services.
- Initiate the use of improved construction methodologies.
- Coordinate snow control operations.
- Development of the Operations programs and budget.
- Train junior staff.
- Enforcement of the City of Brampton Fill By-Law.
- Liaison with other departments within and/or outside the City.
- Investigate and report on Insurance claims against the City.
- Promote, monitor & ensure public, contractor and employee safety.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures.
