Currently, the municipality is seeking progressive, eager, and self motivated individuals to be part of the Central Elgin team. Reporting to the Director of Asset Management and Development Services. The Asset Management and Development Services Department is responsible for managing the asset management and financial planning for storm drainage, sanitary sewer, roads, municipal potable water, bridges and recreational facilities. In addition to asset management, the department is also responsible for development control including review and approval of engineering design and ongoing inspection and administration of development.

    Our Human Resources Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Operations. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director of Operations is responsible for overall management, administration, operations and maintenance of the Operations department. Providing leadership to the Operations department, the Director of Operations will manage a gross budget of $10.7 million, oversee 1,000 km of roads and associated fleets and equipment, provide direction to the County’s solid waste management program, as well as ensure parks, playfields, marinas, boat launches, community halls, facilities and cemeteries operate effectively.
