The City of Toronto's Engineering & Construction Services Division has an immediate opening for a Director in the Division's Major Infrastructure Section.
As the delivery agent for some of the country's largest water, wastewater and solid waste management construction projects, the Major Infrastructure Section provides expertise in project management and oversight for multi-year engineering design assignments associated with the rehabilitation, reconstruction and upgrading of Toronto's major infrastructure, including water and wastewater treatment facilities; pumping stations, water reservoirs and elevated tanks as well as initiatives involving the interception and treatment of combined sewer overflows; and trunk sewers.

This position is ideally suited to a highly motivated Professional Engineer with demonstrated project and people management experience, who has excellent communication skills, and who is looking for the opportunity to take a lead role delivering essential municipal infrastructure that serves the City of Toronto's residents, businesses and visitors.
Reporting to the Director of the Major Infrastructure Section, the Manager Design & Construction Major Infrastructure (Water Treatment & Solid Waste Facilities) provides the technical, financial, and administrative oversight needed to effectively and successfully deliver capital projects at the City’s R.C. Harris, F.J. Horgan, R.L. Clark and Island water treatment plants, and at various solid waste transfer stations and closed landfill sites within the City and within the Greater Toronto Area.

There is an opening for the above position within Asset Management & Project Management Office Division, Corporate Services Department available immediately. As a member of the Corporate Asset Management team, this position will report to the Manager of Asset Management.

The Utilities Compliance Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Utilities Manager in ensuring that Loyalist Township’s water and wastewater treatment facilities and associated works are operated in compliance with legislation and regulations. The Utilities Compliance Supervisor is the designated Quality Management System Representative for the Bath and Fairfield Drinking Water Systems. This position is responsible for monitoring, supporting, coaching, training and supervising the operators’ duties related to compliance in all operational aspects of Loyalist Township’s water and wastewater treatment facilities and associated works. The Utilities Compliance Supervisor is also responsible for supervision of all Ministry of Environment Inspections including the collection and delivery of all requested data prior to and following the inspection.
