Reporting to the Deputy City Manager of the Community Development department, this position is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the municipal road network, municipal water system and the waste water system.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Transportation Strategy and is responsible for the day-to-day planning, implementation and development of policies, standards and procedures to ensure safe operation and efficient utilization of the town’s road infrastructure for development applications. In addition, this position is the town’s coordinator of technical advice and direction for land development traffic and transportation related issues. The Transportation Engineer also leads and coordinates transportation-related environmental assessments for the town.

As part of the Toronto Water team in the Water Infrastructure Management Section, and reporting to the Manager of Capital Programming & Facility Asset Planning, the Senior Engineer will be responsible for Capital Program planning and monitoring of Capital Program delivery for Water and Wastewater Infrastructure. The Senior Engineer will function as a team leader, directing staff as necessary and coaching and motivating staff to achieve excellence in the delivery of water and wastewater services.

Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, the Administrative and Technical Assistant will provide administrative and technical support for water, wastewater, stormwater, roadways, and sidewalks.

Reporting to the Director, Facilities Operations & Maintenance, this role directs, coordinates and supervises the activities of O&M in house staff and contractors performing the operations, maintenance & repair, and housekeeping of various City owned and leased facilities (i.e. Portfolio of 80 Corporate, Library & Leased buildings). This role is also responsible for managing 102+ City wide maintenance service contracts to maintain the service delivery. Responsible for overseeing the provision and integrity of the Fire Life Safety Programs for all City buildings and properties, ensuring the safety of City personnel and users.
Collaborates with other divisions (i.e. Recreation & Culture) to provide building systems maintenance & repair related subject matter expertise. Prepares & manages operating & capital maintenance budgets for the facilities maintenance section; while ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and resources. Works in close partnership with Building Design & Construction Div for lifecycle renewal & replacement, retrofitting and applying new technologies to all City wide buildings. Manages centralized maintenance & repair mobile response unit consisting of skilled trades staff.
