Reporting to the Manager of Construction Inspection, the Supervisor provides technical expertise and oversight of construction inspection services delivered by Engineering & Construction Services (ECS) Division construction inspection staff, including direct inspection of City construction contracts, oversight and inspection of 3rd party and external service providers' construction activities. The primary responsibility of the position is to manage service delivery to achieve organizational performance and quality standards and expectations, ensuring that engineering designs & construction conform to Division, Cluster, and corporate standards and regulatory requirements.

As a Project Manager in Water and Wastewater Planning, you will manage consultant assignments related to Engineering for operations and growth – from preparing terms of reference and coordinating data to reviewing consultants’ reports and performing Engineering calculations such as computer modelling and data analysis. In charge of managing the project scope, schedule and budget, you will prepare project reports and effectively lead, and work with, teams of multi-disciplinary staff in a results-oriented and predominantly unionized environment to achieve project goals.
