Under the direction of the Project Engineer - Bus Rapid Transit, duties include providing project management support by guiding, directing and coordinating Bus Rapid Transit road projects and engineering submissions performed by consulting engineers.

Responsible for supervising and managing the work and activities of the technical staff of the Development Engineering Division, comprising all aspects of development engineering design and reviews associated with new development processes. Provides technical support and advice on planning applications to the Planning division, Operations, Road and Water/Wastewater divisions and Recreation and Culture Department. Co-ordinates the Town’s site alteration permit process.

Monitors subdivision development in accordance with approved policies, procedures and standards.Prepares and administers tenders and quotations and ensures that compliance with standards is maintained.
Performs project management duties for maintenance and capital projects including the supervision of outside contractors, engineering consultants, dispute resolution, payment processes and liaison with the public. Makes site visits to ensure compliance and quality of work.
Provides technical advice and engineering information to other departments, the development industry, other agencies and the public in an efficient and effective manner.
Assists in the development and enforcement of appropriate design and construction standards for engineering servicesFor more information click below

Assists in the development and continual update of Township’s Asset Management Plan, and its integration into existing long-term capital forecasts.
Develops and implements a corporate asset GIS system, including creating a database
Develops and implements asset condition programs, as well as performance metrics for existing infrastructure assets, with risk-based evaluation and prioritization for replacement or rehabilitation activities.
Works collaboratively with Manager of Accounting to ensure the Asset Management Plan (AMP) satisfies the applicable requirements -

Responsible for managing the Infrastructure Programming Division within the Infrastructure Delivery Department. Including strategic assessment and renewal planning of municipal infrastructure, program development and implementation, project management, data collection and maintenance. Managing and supervising the activities of the Infrastructure Programming division staff. Determines and coordinates closely with other divisions and departments in the strategic assessment and renewal planning of the City’s linear and buildings infrastructure.
