We are looking for an innovative Project Engineer - Development with the Community Development Department, Development Engineering Division. You will review and provide technical comments on development applications; receive, investigate and respond to inquiries related to development; and, you will represent the department on various engineering study teams and committees. By building strong working relationships and using effective communication skills, you will work with various stakeholders and agencies including property owners, developers, local and regional government, regulatory agencies and consultants. Your ability to manage projects, develop terms of references, select consultants, track budgets, and chair public meetings will be beneficial to your success.

The Engineering Services Department is accepting applications for the regular full-time position of Coordinator, Stormwater Management. Reporting to the Director, Development Engineering, the Coordinator, Stormwater Management is primarily responsible for the review and preparation of technical comments on development applications, and will administer the Town’s stormwater management facilities local and holistic monitoring programs. They will review, manage and/or assist the Director, Development Engineering in the review and management of projects/major studies dealing with the assessment and functionality of the municipality’s stormwater infrastructure and natural watercourses; master drainage plans and Class Environmental Assessments related to stormwater management, water resources; and other environmental issues.

The Asset Management Coordinator will be responsible to implement and maintain the Township of Woolwich’s Asset Management Plan (AMP), which includes developing and performing condition assessments on various assets, maintaining and updating the asset inventory database, developing long and short term capital forecasts, monitoring upper government funding programs and assisting in making grant proposals and requests, and assisting in the preparation of development charge studies, development charge by-laws and development charge by-law amendments.

Responsible for reviewing, commenting and recommending the approval of engineering designs and the municipal servicing component of proposed developments including Site Plans (development applications and building permits). Official Plan Amendments, Zoning By-law Amendments and Committee of Adjustment applications; ensuring compliance with City Engineering Standards, existing policies and procedures, and pertinent government regulations as amended; Prepares and administers servicing and encroachment agreements associated with site plan approvals, reviews specifications for various needs studies and provides technical expertise and support with the preparation and administration of development and subdivision agreements.
