    Reporting to, and under the direction of, the Manager of Engineering and Infrastructure Services, the Supervisor of Corridor Management  is responsible for overseeing and directing the review, approval and quality control of applications to utilize public right-of ways for utility infrastructure, including:

    • overseeing the municipal consent and road occupancy permit process;
    • overseeing curb cut and culvert installation permit process;
    • overseeing ON1Call Requests;
    • reviewing and updating the public works fees for the Services and Activities By-Law;
    • overseeing the miscellaneous asphalt patching and miscellaneous sidewalk construction tenders;
    • on-line permitting and on-line GIS road closure mapping tool;
    • supervising and monitoring performance of staff;
    • undertaking research and development;
    • updating engineering standards, policies and practices related to utility infrastructure;
    • developing and monitoring of the operating and capital budget; and,
    • other duties as may be assigned.

    Reporting to the Director of Transportation & Infrastructure Management, the Manager of Development Engineering will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Development Engineering Section. The Section is responsible for the Transportation and Works Department's review and approval of Planning Act applications, including Official Plan Amendments, Zoning By-law Amendments, Site Plan, Plans of Subdivision and Condominium, Minor Variances and Consents. In particular, the Development Engineering Section staff review the municipal engineering aspects of the applications such as site grading and noise impacts and attenuation. Section staff are responsible for coordinating comments on behalf of other Transportation & Works' Sections regarding site access, traffic operations, stormwater management, and soil and groundwater quality concerns. Staff also plays a key role in the preparation of necessary agreements to secure the construction of development-related municipal infrastructure in particular Development Agreements, Servicing Agreements and Subdivision Agreements.
