Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure and Asset Management Planning, the Infrastructure Analyst tracks, updates and manages the condition and inventory of the Town’s Public Works infrastructure capital assets and to develop annual capital budgets, 10 year capital programs and annual programs.

Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, is responsible for the development and continual improvement of a corporate wide asset management program and for the management of strategic departmental projects and initiatives. Key responsibilities include preparing, evaluating, implementing, and managing proposals, projects and master plans; community consultation, managing project capital budgets; communicating project updates; negotiating and ensuring compliance with project goals, direction and funding; and for ensuring compliance with all applicable provincial and federal legislation and municipal by-laws and policies.

This position is responsible for leading major facility and building construction projects from preliminary design stage through to completion of construction, including assignments through consultation with other city departments, local boards, outside agencies and the public. Researches, develops and implements procedures, processes and policies relevant to project management, oversees external contracts as well as prepares and monitors capital budgets and forecasts. Projects include new construction, life cycle renewal and revitalization requiring project management expertise. -

The Project Manager, Construction provides expertise and leadership for coordinating all aspects of the construction of large scale projects. The Project Manager reviews and directs the work of staff and consultants and oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific strategic projects for Facilities Management & Construction Services.
