    Reporting to the Supervisor of Transportation Planning, the Infrastructure Network Analyst is responsible for
    operating and maintaining the Region’s transportation demand forecast model (EMME) for use in short and
    longer term planning of infrastructure. Key undertakings include program management of external and
    internal clients to collect transportation network data, updating the transportation demand forecasting
    (EMME) model with current travel pattern characteristics (i.e. Transportation Tomorrow Survey and other
    traffic related data), analyzing and evaluating model output, reviewing existing and future transportation
    network capacity requirements, applying engineering expertise to evaluate network performance and
    reviewing development applications to assess associated transportation network impact.

    Position Overview: Under the general guidance and direction of the Manager of Infrastructure Planning, the Senior Infrastructure Planning Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the work activities of City staff and consultants retained to support the development, update, and/or maintenance of master plans for the City’s municipal infrastructure. Specifically, this position is responsible for undertaking, directing, and leading projects and/or studies being completed under the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment planning process to support the development and/or update to master plans involving the City’s water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation networks. Additionally, this position provides technical review, advice, and/or guidance with respect to municipal infrastructure projects and/or related studies associated with the development, update, and/or maintenance of the City’s master plans involving water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation networks. Overall, this position plays an integral role in leading assigned projects and studies and monitoring consultant performance to ensure projects and are delivered on scope, on schedule, and within budget in accordance with City standards, and to enable the City of Barrie to continue to deliver the services that it provides; maintain community sustainability; and to provide a high quality of life for the citizens and visitors of the City of Barrie.

    Responsible for planning, designing, tendering and contract administration of multi-disciplinary linear infrastructure Capital projects. Projects include, but not limited to, road reconstruction and rehabilitation, watermains, sewers, sidewalks, bridges, and culverts. Supervises, reviews and directs the work of staff and engineering consultants and engages consultants/contractors by preparing bid packages and administers the associated contracts.
