A Senior Engineer in Third Party & Utility Review is responsible for facilitating municipal approval of design and construction proposals submitted by external agencies including Metrolinx, TTC, utility companies, and developers.
A Senior Engineer in Development Engineering acts as a case manager in the review of development applications made under the Planning Act including official plan amendments, secondary plans, subdivisions, re-zonings, land divisions, site plans and condominium proposals.

Summary:
Reports to the Division Manager - Geomatics. Provides leadership necessary to effectively manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) – Cityworks and Geographic Information System (GIS) - Geodatabase. Provides oversight, delivers operational department programs and services and ensures the development and implementation of the business and system requirements that support the CMMS – Cityworks and GIS – Geodatabase. Manages and supervises divisional technical staff dedicated to administering infrastructure, operational and mapping data in various systems.

Minutes from the Guelph and Kitchener/Waterloo areas, the Township of Mapleton, is seeking an experienced manager to become its Director of Public Works. The successful candidate will possess an engineering designation, or comparable education and qualifications. Experience with municipal operations and providing advice to a municipal council would be a definite asset. Reporting to the CAO, the Director of Public Works, managing an operating budget of approximately $6 million, is responsible for all aspects of the Township’s roads and bridges, its sewer and water operations, and the Township’s physical facilities utilizing a combination of permanent and seasonal employees, plus outside consultants and contractors. The successful candidate will have strong written and oral communications skills with a strong technical background; be able to plan, co-ordinate and motivate; and will lead an accomplished team by example and through effective communications.
