Purpose of position and profile Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Services, you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Township’s Roads and Water & Wastewater Departments, which consists of 11 unionized staff (5 Roads and 6 Water/Wastewater Staff), the Water and Wastewater Supervisor (non-unionized), a future Roads Supervisor (non-unionized) as well as part time and occasional contract staff. You will be responsible for supervising and the training of Operations Staff and managing the daily operations and maintenance of the Township’s road networks (asphalt, tar and chip, gravel), bridges, stormwater infrastructure, water distribution and wastewater collection systems. -
The Transportation Manager will be responsible for the management of the day to day operations of the technical staff and crossing guards within the Transportation division. This includes ensuring that the City’s transportation network meets safety, capacity and legislative requirements for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. This position is responsible for overseeing the following: municipal consents, street lighting, on-street parking, traffic operations, detours, school issues, etc.

Our Human Resources Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Project Manager. Reporting to the Director of Development Services, this position is responsible for planning, designing, tendering and contract administration of multi-disciplinary infrastructure Capital projects. Projects include, but are not limited to, road reconstruction/rehabilitation, watermain, pump stations, reservoirs, sewers, sidewalks, bridges, and culverts. This position supervises, reviews and directs the work of engineering consultants and engages consultants/contractors by preparing bid packages and administers the associated contracts to completion.

We are looking for a leader to guide the project team undertaking the environmental assessments for higher order transit projects (light rail transit and bus rapid transit) as well as other key regional transportation projects affecting the City of Brampton. This position will provide direction to staff to undertake environmental assessments and other transportation studies; oversee consultants; manage technical staff; prepare various reports; investigate improved methods; and develop plans and strategies to protect the City’s interests.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Growth Management, you’ll direct a multi-functional workforce engaged in the delivery of services to the Land Development industry, including all aspects of development engineering for subdivision and development. It will be your responsibility, as Manager of Infrastructure Planning, to ensure that Infrastructure strategies – including Environmental Assessments –are in place to support the City's Growth Plan, as well as recommend the required capital projects to align with recommendations coming out of the Council-approved Staging of Development Program.
