In the specially created role of Senior Structural Engineer – Gardiner Rehabilitation Project, you will be part of the self-contained unit within the Engineering and Construction Services Division that has overall responsibility to deliver the strategic rehabilitation plan for the F.G. Gardiner Expressway.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Gardiner Rehabilitation Unit, you will bring your extensive structural engineering expertise to the role. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) are essential given the extremely high profile of the strategic rehabilitation plan. Your support of the successful delivery of the Gardiner Rehabilitation Project includes providing the highest level of project management expertise, time and financial management capabilities, and coordination and consultation with the myriad of internal and external stakeholders and asset owners, including City departments and agencies, and provincial organizations such as Metrolinx.

Reporting to the CAO, the Director of Public Works will support the organization while managing and advancing operations and the delivery of public services, effectively and efficiently plan and manage the divisional functions of Works, Parking, Water Distribution, Waste Management and Garage.

Reporting to a Project Manager, the Senior Design Technician is responsible for the functional design, co-ordination, detailed design and the preparation of contract drawings of various municipal Capital Works projects, including roads, storm sewers, sidewalks, intersections, multi-use pathways, streetscape, parking lots, etc.

As Project Manager, you will lead and manage the planning, design and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects through an assigned team of technicians/technologists, consultants and support staff. With a university degree and a professional engineering designation or a 3 year college diploma with a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation, you are a critical thinker and effective communicator, adept at problem-solving and building and maintaining collaborative working relationships.

Reporting to the Manager of Design and Construction in Engineering Services, the Design Engineer- Vertical is responsible to manage large multi-disciplined capital projects from budget estimates, planning, procurement, environmental assessments, design through to commissioning. The Design Engineer facilitates the project management of capital projects primarily in water and wastewater facilities with effective leadership, working with a diverse team of professionals.
