Reporting to the Manager, Third Party and Utility Review, you will be responsible for the technical review and administrative processing of applications submitted by third parties such as Metrolinx, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), utility companies, and developers. As a Senior Engineer, you’ll apply expert knowledge of the design and construction of water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance systems as you provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with City and regulatory requirements, standards and specifications – from the initial application through to the end of the construction warranty period.

Senior Engineer – Bridges, Structures and Expressways
Within this project, you’ll be responsible for the review and administrative processing of construction proposals in support of SmartTrack and the Metrolinx Regional Express Rail (RER) Programs, and for providing technical guidance to ensure the effective interpretation and application of City standards, specification and policies – from application until completion of construction. This includes managing service delivery to achieve organizational performance and quality standards and expectations, and ensuring that engineering designs that modify, replace or impact existing or new City bridge infrastructure conform to Division, Cluster and City standards and regulatory requirements.Senior Engineer – Gardiner Expressway Rehabilitation
Within the Gardiner Rehabilitation Project, you’ll be part of the Division’s self-contained unit that has overall responsibility to deliver the strategic rehabilitation plan for the F.G. Gardiner Expressway. Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Gardiner Rehabilitation Unit, and demonstrating your extensive structural engineering expertise, you’ll be primarily responsible for activities focused on Structural engineering design and bridge constructability. -

Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Construction, the Manager of Infrastructure Asset Planning & Management will manage a team that delivers asset management and program planning, capital budgets and forecasts, road corridor management, infrastructure information data and GIS record management for municipal public works transportation infrastructure. The Manager of Infrastructure Asset Planning & Management is responsible to ensure the town’s existing transportation related infrastructure remains in a state of good repair in accordance with the corporate asset management plan (AMP), provides capital planning development to ensure infrastructure projects are programmed accordingly in the capital forecast to meet the needs of both the AMP and growth pressures. -
Reporting to the Manager, Contracts, Operations Planning & Projects with a commitment to the vision and values of the Corporation, this position takes ownership of and assumes the key role as an accountable leader for the staff team responsible for the delivery of the Road Maintenance, Operations and Fleet, contracts and contracted services dedicated to the effective repair and maintenance of municipal roadways, bridges, storm sewers and watercourse infrastructure as well as procurement for Road Operations seasonal winter control, spring/summer sweep, leaf pick-up, supply of construction and road building materials services contracts.
