Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, the Project Engineer utilizes project management skills and technical knowledge and experience in Municipal, Traffic and Civil Engineering to plan and direct a comprehensive program of construction and system renewal for all municipal sanitary, storm, road, bridge, water and other designated municipal infrastructure.

Reporting to the Manager of Design and Construction in Engineering Services, the Design Engineer- Linear is responsible to manage a variety of small to large multi-disciplined capital projects from budget estimates, planning, procurement, environmental assessments, design and construction through to completion. The Design Engineer facilitates the project management of capital projects primarily in roads, water, sanitary and storm linear municipal infrastructure projects with effective leadership working with a diverse team of professionals.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (DCAO) and as a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) you will be responsible for the administration of the Transportation and Environmental Services Department including workforce management, asset management planning, departmental budgets, and all other key functions. Accountable for the department’s line responsibilities for all matters pertaining to Engineering and Construction (linear assets), Environmental Services, Facilities and Energy, as well as Transportation and Geomatics.

Reporting to the Manager, Capital Engineering and Construction, the Senior Project Advisor (Supervisor) is responsible for the delivery of a suite of major linear water, wastewater, and transportation capital projects, utilizing a combination of in-house and external resources. You will oversee a team of skilled project managers providing day to day supervision, mentoring and coaching.
