    We are seeking an Engineering professional with a post-secondary degree/diploma in Civil or Transportation Engineering or a closely related field. Our ideal candidate has 3 – 5 years of municipal design experience. The ideal candidate will manage assigned capital work projects which includes, but is not necessarily limited to Municipal Class Environmental Assessment's, detailed design, and construction of linear and/or transportation infrastructure from inception to completion. The candidate will oversee the quality of product/service, cost and schedule elements of assigned projects to ensure efficient project delivery. This individual will represent the Town of Caledon at public consultations, presentations, open houses, and face-to-face interactions with the public, consultants, contractors, and agencies.

    If you’re a Professional Engineer, Certified Engineering Technologist or similarly qualified professional with experience leading stormwater and/or watershed management projects, bring your expertise and leadership to the City of Hamilton.

    As part of the Water and Wastewater Capital Planning team, you will lead projects and planning efforts related to stormwater collection and management, flood mitigation, erosion control, low impact development, and climate change adaptation. Your experience as a Project Manager in Watershed Management will have prepared you to develop project scopes, budgets and schedules, manage consultants and ensure projects are delivered in a cost-effective, timely manner, as well as perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and technical reviews.

    Reports to and acts under the direction and approval of the Division Manager III. Prepares draft plan approval conditions for land development projects. Reviews, analyzes and/or recommends acceptance of municipal servicing design drawings and various engineering reports and studies. Reviews applications under provincial legislation as part of the Transfer of Review Program. Reviews, monitors security and ensures compliance of Subdivision, Servicing and Reference Plan Agreements. Responsible for office and field duties related to engineering servicing of subdivision and land development.
