Reporting to the Manager of Development Approvals, in a multi-disciplinary team environment, you will provide leadership to staff responsible for development approvals and capital infrastructure projects required to facilitate the City’s growth management plan. As Senior Project Manager, Development Approvals, you will be accountable for ensuring that infrastructure is designed and constructed in accordance with City and Provincial guidelines and policies, with minimal disruption to the public and internal departments.

Reporting to the General Manager, Infrastructure and Development Services/City Engineer, the Manager of Engineering Services is responsible for strategically directing and managing the assessment of infrastructure needs, and the budgeting and implementing of infrastructure initiatives and projects, with weighed oversight of new developments. This position is also responsible for overseeing assigned staff, and approving and monitoring expenditures within defined limits.

Responsible for providing water distribution and wastewater collection systems modeling to support the hydraulic and hydrological analysis of existing and proposed water and wastewater infrastructure. This function will support water and wastewater service delivery objectives by providing expert analytical advice which will predict the hydraulic performance of the water and wastewater systems and other related projects. Provides input into the technical review of watermain and sewermain repair and replacement projects and development applications. This position is also responsible for updating the water and wastewater models by adding information from GIS, flow monitors, operational observations and other information as needed. The modeler will perform trouble-shooting and risk assessment of the models. Provides technical support to staff. -

This Watershed Services Coordinator will be working out of the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority (GRCA) administrative office in Port Hope, located on the corner of Hwys 28 and 401. This position is a management position within the Authority, coordinating the Watershed Services team, and reporting to the CAO/Secretary-Treasurer. The Watershed Services Coordinator will provide engineering review services to the Authority’s Planning and Regulations departments including, technical review of stormwater management plans/reports, erosion and siltation control plans, and flood control plans/reports; provide technical assistance in the Authority’s Flood forecasting and warning plan; as well as, provide assistance in the management of Authority’s engineering projects including, tender writing, letting, awarding and management, contract development and management, payment management and certification, and legal issues management.
