Township of Wilmot - Supervisor of Development Engineering

May 6,2024 Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, as a member of the Infrastructure Services team, this position will provide mentorship, leadership and technical supervision of staff and work alongside Planning staff to review and approve development applications submissions pertaining to residential, industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) development projects, including all drawings and related reports to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and standards. This position also coordinates field activities for development inspections and enforcement of policies, procedures and by-laws related to development activities. This position will also lead the long-range forecasting for planned development growth of drinking water, wastewater, roads and other core infrastructure and identifies municipal servicing upgrade needs, including providing updates for Development Charges. This position builds on the Township Strategic Direction of Community Engagement, Economic Prosperity, and Environmental Protection by ensuring proper integration and planning of development into the Municipal Infrastructure including commenting on and reviewing existing capacity constraints within the system and Development Charges for growth.
Manager, Works Operations

May 3,2024 Reporting to the Director, Roads & Works, the Manager, Works Operations, is accountable for the staff team and contractors responsible for the efficient operations and maintenance of the Town’s Right-of-Way assets including the state-of-good repairs programs to municipal and regional roadways, bridges, storm sewers, creeks, sidewalks and multi-use paths, as well as the provision of winter control operations and the special collection (Loose Leaf) program. All work is performed according to maintenance standards regulated by the Municipal Act, Highway Traffic Act and Council mandated Levels of Services and obligations. The Manager, Works Operations provides leadership to a large team of both union and non-union staff in advancing town-wide responsibilities for key business areas within Works Operations. The Manager, Works Operations, also provides effective long-term planning, service planning, service delivery, financial planning and sustainability and organizational effectiveness, ensuring the safety, health, well-being, and satisfaction of the public through high-quality, reliable, cost-effective services. Ensuring productivity, efficiency, and customer experience are maximized.
