Climate Risk Institute

Climate Risk Institute offers professional development and training in climate change resilience and risk assessment. This training is suitable for a broad range of Engineers, Asset or Risk Managers, Planners and others working in municipalities or on infrastructure.  

 

The Climate Risk institute is offering online courses that will provide infrastructure professionals with information and hands-on exposure with approaches to assessment and management of climate change risk for Infrastructure and Assets. Successful completion of these courses will be recognized by the Climate Risk Institute as meeting requirements of the Infrastructure Resilience Professional (IRP) credential. The courses may also be taken also be taken individually as continuing professional development.   

The courses are also a great way to earn continuous learning hours, and eligible Professional Engineers can pursue the Infrastructure Resilience Professional (IRP) Credential.

  1. Climate Change and Infrastructure Risk Assessment: the PIEVC Protocol

Wednesdays from February 23rd through March 23rd, 2022 (10:30 am to 12:30 pm EST).  

  1. Asset Management and Climate Resilience. Tuesdays from February 15th through March 22nd, 2022 (12:00 – 2:00pm EST).  
  2. Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Training for Professional Planners. Offered in collaboration with Ontario Professional Planners Institute. Six sessions, beginning March 10th.
